Notice of Election and Special Meeting of Qualified Voters* of the Perry Central School District

LIBRARY TRUSTEE SEATS:

Two (2) seats (5-year terms) are to be filled on the Perry Public Library Board of Trustees at an election to be held at the Library on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, Noon to 9:00 PM. Incumbents are Roy Griswold and Elizabeth H. Rice, whose terms expire June 30, 2010.

The following 4 candidates have submitted the required petitions and will be on the ballot
for the 2 trustee seats at the June 1, 2010, vote:

Elizabeth (Betty) H. Rice
  311 votes (elected)
Roy A. Griswold  298
votes (elected)
Linda Hyland 
265 votes
Ann N. Heizmann 
256 votes

New trustee terms begin July 1, 2010.

LIBRARY BUDGET:

A vote for the annual funding of $199,300 for Perry Public Library will be held at the same time as the trustee election on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, Noon to 9:00 PM at the Library.

Impact of Budget Amount:
The amount of annual library funding to be voted on is $199,300. Tax impact for residents of the Perry Central School District is approximately 61 per $1,000
[60.89 per $1,000] of current assessed property value.
That is a TOTAL tax of $30.45 for a house assessed at $50,000.

*VOTER QUALIFICATIONS
In order to participate in the voting process, one must be:
1. A citizen of the United States.
2. At least eighteen (18) years old.
3. A resident of the school district for a period of thirty (30) days
preceding the date of this vote.
