Paintings
Loaned for Exhibit
Four of Perry Public Library's oil paintings by local artist
Lemuel M. Wiles (1826-1905)
were on loan to the
John L. Wehle Art Gallery at the
Genesee Country Village and Museum in
Mumford, NY.
The entire exhibit, entitled
Under Open Skies: Painting Nature Past and Present,
ran from May 11 to October 31, 2008.

The photo above shows the paintings as they
appeared at the exhibit. Pictured from left to right are:
Up Country, New York 1891; Last Day of Summer 1896;
Utah Valley; and Haying Time 1892.
