A little history ... Although it started on a Wednesday with an organizational meeting of interested members--August 29, 2001, to be exact--the Book Discussion Group has continued on the fourth Tuesday of each month ever since. The group takes a break with no meeting in December. The group decides together what books to read and discuss and tries for a variety of both fiction and non-fiction. Over the years, two traditions have held fast: (1) For an "open discussion" in October, each member talks about any book recently enjoyed; and (2) The February selection is always the current Tale for Three Counties selected book for that year. That month usually draws the biggest crowd, since many are eager to discuss the book in anticipation of the author visit that happens each March.
